Rocamadour

Rocamadour is situated at about a 60 minutes ride from Les Teuillères. It attracts visitors from all over the world for its setting against a roc, the beautiful historical monuments, the art galleries and the Black Madonna, a wooden statue reputed to have been carved by Saint Amadour.
The sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary attracts pilgrims since the 9th century. After their long trip they received a relic, La Sportelle. 
If you like museums you can visit the tapestry museum and the archaeological museum.
A special train allows you to visit the city by night. Don't forget to finish your day in one of the many restaurants and taste the local plates.

At Le Rocher des Aigles, above the town center, you can experience a spectacular raptorshow.




The Lot

The Lot deparment is situated in the Midi-Pyrénées in South-East France.

The limestone plateaus (Causses) are cut through by large river gorges such as the Lot, the Dordogne or the Célé. The Causses contain many caves, some of which with parietal art, like the Pech Merle cave.
The parietal paintings, Celtic sepulchral monuments, medieval towns, monastries and castles are all evidences of a long human presence in the Lot.

Nowadays you can enjoy the beautiful nature, peace and space, visit the typical markets and fleemarkets, and taste the local products.
